IAN TRELOAR
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Ian has worked in commercial real estate in Melbourne since 1974. He held Senior Directorship roles at Jones Lang La Salle and Knight Frank for over 20 years in Suburban Office Leasing during which time he oversaw major Office Leasing roles in a variety of CBD and Suburban buildings. Ian purchased Gill Property in 2011 and has since expanded the business in all areas of Commercial Real Estate continuing to offer Leasing, Sales and Consultancy services to both existing clients and new clients.

JAMES TRELOAR
DIRECTOR & OFFICER IN EFFECTIVE CONTROL

James commenced his career working in Commercial Real Estate in 2003. With a base in Corporate Real Estate James moved into an Agency role over 15 years ago. James has negotiated more than 700 Leasing and Sales transactions with a particular focus on the Metropolitan office markets of Melbourne.
Prior to James joining Gill Property Group he held senior positions within Knight Frank, being responsible for both the Metropolitan leasing team and the overall Eastern Office.

James has extensive experience with project Leasing & sales, strategic repositioning of assets, Lease strategy & implementation and lease renewals along with an in-depth knowledge of occupiers current and future imperatives.

Along with an in-depth knowledge and experience within the Metropolitan markets, James brings to the table a strong work ethic, is passionate about working with small and large private clients and is dedicated to building strong lasting relationships with his clients.

IAN ROBERTSON
DIRECTOR – SALES & LEASING

Ian has been involved in the Commercial Real Estate industry for over 35 years, being Owner and Principle of a number of successful businesses.

Ian’s focus is specifically within the Retail sector of the Commercial market, specialising in Master Planning, Leasing and Sales.

Ian has significant experience ranging from Neighbourhood Activity Centres, Large Format Retail and Strip shopping Centres.

He has a fundamental knowledge of this Market including an inherent understanding of tenant requirements and profitability which then underpins the strength of any strategic investment.

JOHN NEWTON
DIRECTOR – SALES & LEASING

John Newton has worked in Melbourne Real Estate Agency for in excess of 25 years.

After a break of some years during which time  he ran his own business, he has come back to Real Estate and is concentrating on Sale of Strata Office Suites both in the CBD and the St Kilda Road precinct.

John has developed a keen knowledge of this market and a strong following of both investors and buyers.

His success over the past five years has been unrivalled by his competitors which is a testament to his professionalism and commitment.

HELEN PETTIGREW
SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER

Helen has over 15 years’ experience in commercial property management including management of large scale premium office accommodation and extensive retail offerings in Melbourne’s CBD.

As part of her vast experience, Helen also gained international experience in shopping centre asset management in the UK, and also managed regional shopping centres and retail parks, retail strips in London and was responsible for setting up management regimes for redevelopment projects.

Helen has also dealt with numerous stand-alone and multi tenanted properties over the years in Melbourne’s suburbs and understands that asset performance is important for each and every property, no matter the size.

Jane is a Licensed Estate Agent with over 20 years’ practical experience managing Commercial, Industrial and Residential properties.

John is a Director of the business and has over 30 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry in Australia. John has enjoyed a long and successful career with some of Melbourne’s major Commercial Real Estate Agencies. Commencing his career in 1991 with Jones Lang Wootton, John established a strong reputation in the Melbourne Office Leasing market. After ten successful years, John made the strategic decision to further his experience by accepting roles with Colliers International and CB Richard Ellis which involved significant project leasing assignments and the leasing of some of Melbourne’s major buildings.

Over the years John developed a passion to utilise his intimate understanding of the leasing process primarily for the benefits of tenants and in 2006 he left the Agency workplace to undertake an independent advisory role and has since been delivering significant and tangible outcomes for his valued clients.

DAVID CHALMERS
DIRECTOR – TENANT ADVISORY

With over 35 years’ experience in the property industry, David has owned and managed consultancy businesses and occupied senior management roles focusing on the provision of the full range of strategic property and asset management services for large diverse organisations. He possesses diverse real property,
asset and infrastructure management experience and his achievements are highlighted by outcomes, demonstrating strong strategic planning & organisational skills.

David’s experience and skill set is centered on the provision of strategic services to occupiers of leasehold premises and owners of corporate property (where ownership is for non-investment purposes). This is the simplest definition of Corporate Real Estate where property strategies are developed to support corporate business strategies and objectives.

He is a strategic and creative thinker, offering competencies appropriate to a professional involved in all facets of property, particularly the provision of consultancy advice offering a range of innovative options and solutions. David’s skill set includes the ability to think laterally; undertake financial analysis by modelling outcomes and recommending courses of investment action and property economics.

Prior to joining Gill Property, David was Director, Knight Frank Tenant Representation following on from Principal, PD Corp RE and Joint Managing Director, Property Dynamics Independent Property Advisers.
